6 days before Christmas
I am quite far from feeling a Christmas spirit - it was a really marvelous, but tough year and last month we are really tired and a lot of annoying little nothings is happening. Every year I had that childish feeling, that something amazing is about to happen, this year it is none. Even watching "Love actually" doesn't help. Do you have any tips, guys?
Anyway, decorating my home helps a little, this is what i've done this year
Cute candle with corona at the entrance. Cinnamon sticks are natural ant they smells good
I found some cones and painted them gold.
Little box with early Christmas present from my folks.
Some bells, ribbons and spirits make a nice impression altogether
Another Santa on TV and a crown I made last year
Cinnamon, gold and candles
Some details
Actually, making this post helped, I'm all better now :)

Handmade X-MAS decorations
December, yeah-yeah-yeah!
I love to make decorations myself, but this year we've got a little too busy for that, so I just bought a bunch of them. But next year, hopefully, we'll make some with Mariasofy. Here is some cute ideas how to make your home look like a Christmas card. Enjoy!

November
Don't want to write anything, I'm not depressed, it's just November - the most odd month of the year for me. It's dark, rainy, crappy weather, no x-mas lights and x-mas sales so far. Awful!
There are 4 things that kept me on track this year:
- planning, preparing and shopping for x-mas decorations. I took out the box from last year, fixed the things need to be fixed, changed the things need to be changed and made a bunch of new ones. Decided what i need for this year and got it.
- knitting. I didn't knit after school, for like... maybe 15 years. But when I saw fine merino wool with huge discount, I just couldn't resist. So today my daughter has 2 funny hats and a west. And I'm working on cardigan for her. The coolest thing about knitting for the baby - you see the progress immediately, and can finish the whole thing in couple of days. It's inspiring.
- food. No diet! At least until January. Chocolate-and-almond cookies for breakfast, nice steak for dinner and lots of fruit. I put a bowl with oranges, apples and tangerines on the dinner table, so I can eat them during the day without feeling guilty.
- flowers. My orchids flowering for a month now, so beautiful! If they wouldn't, I would get flowers from the shop, just need some in the room.
Well, there where my perfumes too, but they keep me company all year long. This month smelled like Shalimar - soft vanilla and dark animalic, like fur of the lazy cat.

The funny thing about home decorating - it's a lifetime process. You find some new thing, that catches your eye and set it with another pretty thing and another with matching color and - ooops, you home looks a bit different. Plants are the worst - i just can't leave them in a store.
How could you leave a thing, that in a bit will have flowers like this
or this?
I can't.

Easy like sunday morning
One of my favorite traditions in Rome is Sunday breakfast in a local bar. You wake up quite late, put on your sneakers and, after washing your teeth, go down in a bar below your house. (If you are in Rome, there is definitely one. Below mine there are three). Probably a lot of your neighbors are already there, you can chat with them or with the bartender, or read the newspaper...Take your caffe normale (in other countries it calls double f%cking espresso), a cornetto and enjoy the morning sunlight. Lazy-lazy, there is no place to hurry. Nobody wears a make-up, fancy clothes, Rome says RELAX!

Guerlain
This story is really really disgusting.
Guerlain "rasist" comment
I pitty the country, where all that is going one. Coz the logics and common sense are dead in the world where one doubtful comment worth the whole life of work. Jean-Paul Guerlain has made more for good image of France, than anyone else. Among the other masters, he made this country the center of beauty and charm, and this is the response he has in the end of the day. Public humiliation. Damn...
Perfume of the day - Guerlain Shalimar. The Masterpiece.

the big M
Almost all fairy tales ends with the wedding, mine one, hopefully, begins. So, it's official, since that Wednesday I'm officially signora Modafferi! Actually it doesn't change anything in my life or how I feel - Gianni is the love of my life and father of our baby, and I want to spend all my life together with him. But we declared this to the world, and it's nice too.
It was the smallest ceremony in Terme di Caracalla, antic temple (church later), very quiet place in the heart of Rome

Just family and BFF of Gianni. We don't have the family nearby - mine is in Riga, the parents of Gianni are in Calabria, and his sister is married with milanese, so, she stays in Milan, the closest one is about 700 km away. We were so happy to see them all and for them it was a good occasion to see Mariasofy, who is growing so fast!
Three generation of women - baby Mariasofy, me, my mother-in-law and my mom
Here goes bride and groom!

Friday shopping
Pregnancy was good fun and all, but one of the things i missed the most was high heels. Everyone knows, that I'm a heely girl :) And now I have a perfect occasion to buy a new one's! So, yesterday i found a pair of great classy Pakersons in nude color suede with 9cm heel. They make my legs look great and it feels sooooo right to wear them!
I will show the whole outfit after next wednesday ;)

Hi everyone!
Hi!
I started this blog to share my life in Rome with everyone, who is interested (the background goal is not to forget English, coz i feel sometimes, that i'm loosing it). I plan to write about everyday life, my family, art and perfumes, and everything else that comes to my mind. There will be some photos too, i promise!
